The largest beer tent of the Oide Wiesn ist particularly traditional offering brass music and a cultural program including traditional dancers.

Seating 5000 inside and another 2800 in the beer garden, the Festzelt Tradition is the largest beer tent of the Oide Wiesn.

It’s a typical Bavarian beer tent, in which patrons dance on the dance floor, not on benches. The music for this occasion is provided by the renowned Wolfgang Grünbauer and his orchestra, starting daily at 10 am. Additionally, authentic traditional dancing groups display folk dances or Goaßlschnoizn (whip-cracking). In general, the atmosphere is very stress-free as is the search for seats. In the morning, the tent is busier than most of the others, though.

As is the whole Oide Wiesn, also the Festzelt Tradition is especially geared towards families. Children up to the age of 12 have the possibility to pour their lemonade from a lemonade fountain in the beer garden. Consequently, even specially designed little children's toilets are provided.
